Step 01: Call the 24-Hour Number

Call (423) 759-5400 to request testing, including scheduled testing, after-hours requests, or time-sensitive post-accident testing.

Step 02: Review Testing Needs

The technician will discuss the testing request, review procedures, obtain necessary information and forms, and discuss payment arrangements.

Step 03: Confirm Donor Location & ETA

The technician will contact the donor when appropriate to confirm the collection location and estimated arrival time.

Step 04: On-Site Arrival

The technician arrives at the site with the necessary equipment and supplies to perform the requested testing. If complications occur, the DER or company representative will be contacted and kept informed.

Step 05: Sample Shipment or Delivery

The sample will be shipped or delivered as required based on the testing process, laboratory instructions, and applicable documentation requirements.

Step 06: Results & Final Instructions

Immediate breath alcohol test results can be provided when applicable. Arrangements for final results will be discussed during the initial call.
